Hand-deconstruct and reconstruct approximately 90 LF of a historic 1803 mortared limestone retaining wall (roughly 4 ft tall, 1.5 ft thick) using NHL 3.5 lime mortar, numbering and salvaging each stone for reset in its original location. Hand-excavate and shore/crib the adjacent historic Green Tree Tavern porch, then install a fabric-wrapped washed-aggregate drainage layer with 4-inch perforated HDPE draintile daylighting through the wall via 2-inch PVC. Restore the lawn with 6 inches of topsoil and new turfgrass sod. Provide MUTCD traffic control along St. Marys Road with no drive-lane closures.
Building Exterior Repair Project — FDA Pacific Southwest Laboratory
SSPC-SP2/SP3 surface preparation and a three-coat corrosion-resistant coating system (zinc-rich or epoxy primer, MPI high-build epoxy intermediate, polyurethane/epoxy topcoat) applied to exterior structural steel, including egress stairs, sunshades, roof access stairs, the main entrance canopy, and the chemical storage shed canopy. Non-structural crack repair to interior and exterior cast-in-place (CIP) concrete walls, columns, and slab-on-grade, with associated surface restoration. Replacement of damaged resilient flooring at cracked slab-on-grade locations. Work is performed within an occupied, operational laboratory.
Replacement of Kettles 7A & 7B
Demolish two existing cast-in-place (CIP) concrete pond kettles and construct two new CIP concrete replacement kettles, including retaining walls at the elevations shown on the plans. Perform earthwork to reshape the pond side-slopes and prepare the subgrade and base beneath the kettles, including excavation, engineered fill, and compaction. Demolish and install new drain and water-supply piping (12-inch PVC drain and 8-inch PVC supply) with valves, a 12-inch sluice gate, metal gratings, and screens.
Chimney Repairs, Franklin Falls Dam, Franklin, NH
Remove the existing insulated stainless-steel chimney liner and install a new flexible, smooth-walled 304L stainless-steel flue liner system (UL 1777/641/441) serving a freestanding wood-burning stove. Repoint and repair the brick-and-mortar masonry chimney from roofline to crown, pour a new mortar crown, and replace deficient lead flashing. Install a new 304 stainless-steel through-the-wall connecting pipe with a code-compliant thimble/Tee connection, then perform an operational smoke-leak test.
Replace Galley Hood Exhaust System, USCG Base New Orleans
Remove and dispose of two existing commercial galley exhaust hoods and install two new 430 SS exhaust-only wall canopy hoods with supply plenum, stainless baffle filters, canopy light fixtures, and grease cups. Replace the associated ventilation system with upblast exhaust units and sloped filtered supply units on hinged curbs. Furnish new 3-phase electrical controls with inverter-duty motors and VFDs in NEMA 1 enclosures, wired for exhaust-on/lights-out on fire. All work to comply with NFPA 96.
FR 321 Kinzua Creek AOP Culvert Replacement
Remove an existing 42" x 50" x 45' corrugated metal pipe arch (CPMA) culvert and replace it with a 128" x 83" x 44' aluminized steel Type 2 CPMA sized for aquatic organism passage (AOP) on Forest Road 321 over an unnamed tributary to Kinzua Creek. Reconstruct a 600' section of roadway (300' each side of the crossing) with placed limestone driving surface aggregate (DSA) over aggregate backfill. Work includes E&S controls, stream bypass pumping, riprap grade controls, and turf establishment on all disturbed areas.
Raised Access Computer Floor Tiles
Tear out and remove the existing aged raised access computer floor tiles from the in-place pedestal-and-grid understructure in Building 302, Room 110 (bullpen area). Furnish and install new 24"x24" concrete-filled all-steel access floor panels and perforated airflow panels into the existing grid, including cutting edge tiles, cutting data/power access holes, setting grommets, and sealing all cut tiles to a level, flush fit. Haul away and dispose of all removed tiles off-site in accordance with local regulations.
Roof and Foundation Repair at Savenac Historic Site, Lolo National Forest
Repair storm-damaged roofing on the historic Administrative Building, including tear-off of damaged material, repair of damaged rafters, and replacement of damaged roof sheathing, followed by new synthetic underlayment, self-adhering ice & water shield, and installation of Government-furnished metal shingles matching the historic building. Fabricate and install associated sheet metal flashing, trim, drip edges, valley flashing, and reglet counterflashing per SMACNA standards. At the East Cottage, remove and replace the rotten sill log, remove and re-pour the concrete patio as needed to access the foundation, and repair or replace 10-inch Dolly Varden siding to match the existing historic quality.
Building 2A Demolition and Site Restoration, NIST Boulder Laboratories
Disconnect and cap all utilities serving Building 2A - domestic water, sanitary sewer, gas, compressed air, electrical, fire alarm, telecomm, and security - back to the Building 2 source, then demolish B2A in its entirety, including superstructure, roof, MEP equipment, and foundation/footers, along with the surrounding pavement, and haul debris off-site. Restore the site with CDOT Class 1 backfill compacted in 6-inch lifts to 95% maximum dry density, a minimum 6-inch CDOT Class 2 aggregate base course, hot-mix asphalt (HMA) paving with curb and gutter, and a new concrete sidewalk tying into the existing path north of B2A. Install (2) parking-lot pole luminaires on PE-stamped concrete bases fed by a new 20A1P circuit from panelboard PNL-0105-08, mount a new exterior security camera on the east side of Building 2, and stripe the new parking spaces.
Steel Mezzanine & Modular Office Build-Out at Building 238
Design and construct a new 1,200 SF (30' x 40') enclosed steel mezzanine with stairs in the South Center of Building 238. The upper level is framed and finished with modular walls to create an office, break room, and a multi-purpose computer lab/meeting space, including CAT6 data runs, LED lighting, and fire alarm and suppression rough-in. The steel structure bolts to the existing concrete slab on a maximum of nine columns with a minimum 11'-0" clear height below, and includes dedicated break-room circuits and plumbing stub-outs.
Install a Bat-Friendly Wildlife Gate at Olympic National Forest
Fabricate and install a bat-friendly steel non-functioning gate to permanently close a historical mine adit adjacent to Copper Creek Trail #876 in the Bear Gulch post-fire burn scar. The gate is built from 3/4" x 3/4" square steel tube (1/8" or 3/16" wall) at 5-3/4" minimum bar spacing, anchored to bedrock with #8 rebar x 12" drive-fit or epoxy-set rods across an approximately 10' x 10' portal. Deliverables include a Project Workplan with a Health & Safety Plan (HASP), the portal closure, and a post-work report with field notes and photographs.
Replace Flooring and Paint Interior Spaces in Building 52, Coast Guard Island
Remove and dispose of existing carpet and install new luxury vinyl plank (LVT) flooring in the designated office spaces of Building 52, including new quarter-round molding, transition strips, and cove base. Prep and repair the exposed subfloor, then set click-lock, 100% waterproof, 6.5mm LVT per manufacturer instructions. Prep and apply two coats of interior semi-gloss low-VOC paint to all interior walls in the designated spaces, protecting wooden built-ins and furniture.
Replacement of 3 HVAC Systems, TN and KY
Remove and replace three HVAC systems across three National Park Service administrative buildings within Big South Fork NRRA. The work includes furnishing and installing one 4-ton packaged gas/electric RTU on an existing concrete pad at the Kentucky Ranger Station, plus two 1.5-ton ductless mini-split heat pumps serving the IT rooms at Park Headquarters and the Bandy Creek PM Building. Each unit requires new refrigerant line sets, condensate drain piping, exterior service disconnects, and conduit and wiring per NEC. Scope also covers penetration flashing and sealing plus full startup and testing.
Staff and Patient Parking Garage Maintenance
Provide recurring maintenance for two 8-floor parking structures (Building K staff garage and Building L patient/visitor garage) at the New Orleans VA Medical Center. Work includes mechanical sweeping of all drive lanes, parking bays, ramps, and exterior aprons, and pressure washing of floor slabs, stairwells, ramps, curbs, and walls using water-reclamation equipment. Restripe existing stall lines, arrows, ADA symbols, crosswalks, fire lanes, and curb markings with traffic-grade acrylic/epoxy low-VOC paint, and remove trash and debris throughout the garages, stairwells, elevator lobbies, and aprons. Perform quarterly visual and annual detailed structural inspections of slabs, columns, beams, expansion joints, guardrails, and wheel stops, with COR-approved minor repairs such as nonstructural crack sealing, spall patching, joint resealing, and drain grate restoration.
USCG Station Quillayute River Main Building Flooring Renovation
Demo and dispose of approximately 1,500 SF of existing flooring (about 60% carpet, 40% tile) and baseboards in the Station Quillayute River main building. Inspect, patch, grind, level, and moisture-mitigate the exposed subfloor, then install a crack-isolation/uncoupling membrane over the prepared substrate. Set new ~12"x24" porcelain/ceramic tile with non-sanded grout, and install new baseboards and transition strips at doorways.
735 AMS HVAC VAV and Thermostat Replacement
Remove and dispose of 26 failed VAV controllers and their 26 associated thermostats in Bldg 4069, and install 26 government-furnished (GFE), Carrier-compatible VAV controllers and thermostats. Perform the associated low-voltage control wiring, splicing, terminations, and repairs, removing and reinstalling lay-in ACT to access the work areas. Verify all controls are fully operational and complete a joint punch-list walkthrough with the COR, returning the space to its original condition.
Construct Bike Path at West Bluff, Golden Gate National Recreation Area (Presidio of San Francisco)
Construct approximately 1,100 LF of new paved bike path along the West Bluff Trailhead parking area and widen approximately 1,200 LF of Long Avenue to add an uphill bike lane, including asphalt concrete (AC) paving (4" Type 1 in two lifts), site concrete, and thermoplastic pavement striping. Build several small retaining walls, reconstruct the historic masonry (cobble/stone) drainage channel, replace guardrails and chain-link fencing, and install cast-in-place (CIP) concrete storm drainage improvements. Reconstruct the Long Avenue / Marine Drive intersection and plaza with a new access-control gate and vehicle turnaround, remove the existing roundabout, and relocate existing light poles and EV charging stations.
