Building 2A Demolition and Site Restoration, NIST Boulder Laboratories

Scope of work

Disconnect and cap all utilities serving Building 2A - domestic water, sanitary sewer, gas, compressed air, electrical, fire alarm, telecomm, and security - back to the Building 2 source, then demolish B2A in its entirety, including superstructure, roof, MEP equipment, and foundation/footers, along with the surrounding pavement, and haul debris off-site. Restore the site with CDOT Class 1 backfill compacted in 6-inch lifts to 95% maximum dry density, a minimum 6-inch CDOT Class 2 aggregate base course, hot-mix asphalt (HMA) paving with curb and gutter, and a new concrete sidewalk tying into the existing path north of B2A. Install (2) parking-lot pole luminaires on PE-stamped concrete bases fed by a new 20A1P circuit from panelboard PNL-0105-08, mount a new exterior security camera on the east side of Building 2, and stripe the new parking spaces.

• Performance and payment (P&P) bond required
• Utilities disconnected and capped back to the Building 2 source (water, sanitary sewer, gas, compressed air, electrical, fire alarm, telecomm, security)
• Full building demo: superstructure, roof, MEP equipment, foundation/footers, and surrounding pavement; debris hauled off-site

• Work on the secured federal NIST Boulder Laboratories campus
