Scope of work
Remove an existing indoor process chiller and its outdoor condensing unit from the E-Cool Service Building (MI-31) at Fermilab and replace them with a new air-cooled packaged chiller furnished by Fermilab. The contractor caps and removes the old refrigerant lines, controls, and electrical, then sets the new unit and runs new power, supply and return piping, and automatic water make-up piping to the existing headers. Work concludes with new safety controls, a low-flow cutout switch, commissioning, startup, and cleanup.
