Scope of work
A contractor will cut back roadside vegetation and brush along roughly 82 miles of National Forest roads, chipping the resulting slash on the roads flagged for it. The same contractor will also log out about 85 miles of primary and secondary roads, clearing fallen logs and obstructions from the travel way and ditch lines. Work spans three ranger districts of the Umpqua National Forest and uses hand-operated saws, brush cutters, masticators, and chippers.
